Benjamin Kachelman, O.D. is a native of Hazel Green, Alabama, where he attended Hazel Green High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, and his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Kachelman began providing eye care at Florence Eye Center in June 2006.

Dr. Kachelman is certified to provide medical treatment of eye problems and offers pre-operative and post-operative eye and vision care for patients who are interested LASIK laser vision correction surgery. He speaks Spanish fluently and welcomes the opportunity to provide eyecare for Spanish-speaking patients. Dr. Kachelman joined Florence Eye Center in June 2006.
