Ad Limits

To create the best value for our advertisers, we allow the following maximum number of ads per page at LSN. Once these numbers are met, no additional advertising will be accepted for that page.

Ad positioning is determined by the date payment is received. The first to purchase gets top page position for tile ads and bottom-of-page banner ads.


Ad Specifications

• Ads must fill the entire space allotted (e.g. 170x125 px for single tile ads).
• If audio is used, creative must include an on/off button for users. Audio must be user-initiated and never automatic.
• Pop-up ads are not permitted.
• Creative must include a 1 pixel border (black or gray #666666 recommended).
• Java Applets & CGI Scripts: We can serve ads that use Java and CGI scripts but we cannot host them. These ads must be hosted by a 3rd party server.
• Shockwave Flash: Third party must host banner and supply us with the coding that will direct us to the .swf file on their server.

Ad Policies

• All advertisements are subject to LSN's approval.
• LSN does not guarantee or endorse any product, service or company claims made in advertisements appearing at LasikSurgeryNews.com.
• Advertising is separate from editorial content. Advertisers and sponsors have no control over LSN's editorial decisions or advertising policies.
• Ads may link off-site to commercial websites. LSN does not assume any responsibility for any material contained on the website any advertisement links to.
• LSN reserves the right to decline or cancel any submitted advertisement or discontinue posting of any advertisement previously accepted if technical, fraudulent or misrepresentative situations develop. We further reserve the right to decline any link to or from LasikSurgeryNews.com that we deem unacceptable.
• Under no circumstances do we accept advertisements that do not identify the company whose products or services the ad promotes.
• The advertiser agrees that it is responsible to third parties for the content of its advertisements appearing at LasikSurgeryNews.com. In the event that LSN becomes liable to any third party as a result of an advertisement, the advertiser agrees to indemnify any or all of them for damages owed to the third party and for any fees and costs associated with the controversy.
• All advertising is billed net 30 unless otherwise noted. If payment for an ad is not received by LSN by the due date, we reserve the right to remove the ad until payment is made in full.
• LSN reserves the right to modify our ad rates, specifications and policies without notice.
