Will I be able to see clearly immediately after LASIK?

You will be able to see quite well immediately after LASIK. But the eye drop medications used during and immediately after your surgery may cause some blurring, and there will be some swelling of your corneas that will cause some blur. The eye swelling is why you should not rub your eyes immediately after LASIK, for example, when you are applying make-up.

Most patients, however, see a dramatic improvement in their uncorrected vision even as they leave the surgical center. However, it may take several weeks or even a few months before your eyesight is completely clear and stable after LASIK. It is not advisable that you drive home immediately after LASIK surgery.
